Problem:
While technology has certainly enhanced our lives, online engagements can sometime lead to negative consequences. Loss of sleep and higher rate of mental health concerns are examples of some of the consequences. This is especially prevalent among adolescence. As such, strategies are needed to help adolescents find balance with their online engagement, and to improve the quality of time they spend using technology.

Objective:
Encourage Canadian youths between ages of 13-19 to improve their mental and physical well-being through regular physical activities.

Idea:
Create a mobile app and an awareness campaign—consists of transit banner, interactive transit ad, and social media posts—that would encourage active lifestyle.
Mobile App:
Dino Move function like a workout app. It encourages teenagers to participate in daily physical activity by incorporating a reward system. Points are earned as users complete the activity for each day, and those points are used to help raise the pet dino.

Social Media Posts:
A component of the awareness campaign. The aim was to inform through a more causal and playful tone compared to the OOH executions.

Ambient Idea:
Interactive “posters” situated at transit shelters and stations. The aim is to encourage commuters to stay active, instead of looking at their devices, while waiting for their transit. Using motion capture technology, the Dino will move as you move, and gets happier as the result.

Transit Interior Banner:
Likewise, banners will also be placed in buses and subways. They will placed in the ad spaces above, which forces viewers to look up from their devices to see.
